Pollinator Mix

Hi! I have cleared a patch of lawn  to sow the free Pollinator Mix and look forward to some colour and insect life later in the year. Does anyone know what happens next year? Will these plants self seed or do I need to start again with another mix?

  • Depends if the pollinator mix is for a perennial meadow or an annual one. If it's an annual one then I suspect a number of the seeds will be from hardy annuals and therefore new plants will grow from the seed deposited on the ground at the end of the summer. I grew a Pictorial Meadows mix one summer and in years two and three I still had escholtzia, Linum perenne, calendula, scabious and the odd coreopsis or two coming up.
