I was thinking to plant the bulbs in containers inside and then put the plants in the ground outside in the summer. Will they object to being transplanted?

The link says they flower over summer to September.

They should be fine if you plant them in plastic pots and plunge those into the border rather than properly transplanting them.  Makes them easier to lift and keep frost free next winter.
