DIY natural/organic swimming pool

Just wanted to share this tutorial I made about our organic pool project. For anyone who want to venture into this type of project :-)

Fascinating, @ineverreadit . Thank you. Was the ground water on the hill from a spring, then? What a huge job. How long has it been finished?

Was it a bit dangerous having all the electrics in such a wet area inside the filter/UV area, below the level of the pool? Dolphin algae cleaning robots are a whole new world to me. :D:smile:
  • @Fire; yes it might have been a small spring. Finished about 5 months ago. Electrics should be fine since the wall in the pumping station is higher than the pool wall. So in case of overflow the water will run into the garden and not into the pumping station :-)

... and I'm scratching my head over where to put a small pond. You put my teeny challenges in perspective.

Not having been swimming since the 1970s I have zero personal interest in such an endeavour it that is not to say I do not take my hat off to you, @ineverreadit. The pool is a marvellous tribute to your talent and belief. I am impressed by your design skills, overawed by your technical competence and delighted that the finished project turned out so impressively well. The video was also a model of clarity and a complete boon to those bold enough to follow where you have led.
