What's this?

I bought this plant a few months back from a nice lady down the road and cannot remember what she said it is?

I tried using my plant app on my phone to identify it but still cannot figure it out.

Hoping someone might have a better idea of what it is before I try planting it?

It looks like one of the yew family , have a look at taxus Cuspidata dwarf bright gold but I am not 100% sure . @Silver surfer would probably give you a better idea.
  • It may well be Taxus cuspidata 'Nana Aurescens' or a Cryptomeria of some sort.

Looks like a Cryptomeria to me.

Definitely a Cryptomeria japonica cultivar , probably the popular 'Globosa Nana' .
