Can someone identify this for me? it is very invasive and difficult to dig up. And it oozes a clear sticky discharge.

Looks like Spanish bluebell to me but I wouldn't expect them to be in a row unless some misguided person planted them🤔. So maybe it's something else.
    In London. Keen but lazy.

At first glance l thought it was a type of sedge, but the discharge description doesn't fit l don't think.
  • When you dig one up are there bulbs at the base of the stems?  Have you seen it flower?

Thank you everyone. No bulbs when I dug it up so not a bluebell. I an now investigating sedges. I have never seen it flower.

Can we see a photo of one you have dug-up?
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
