Veg recommendations

Hi all

I'm planning my veg for next year.

As an alternative to runner beans this year I'd like to try French beans, could anyone recommend a good reliable variety?

I'd also like to try mangetout, so a recommended variety of that too please.

Many thanks!

I grow climbing French beans (a mixture of runners and French grown together) and grow Blue Lake, which we find prolific and delicious. I haven't tried others to compare them though!

Another vote for Cobra - tasty and very prolific.
