Don't assume your lilies are safely deep enough to avoid your trowel when planting violas around the top of the pot they're in  :'(

Don't check your dahlias for signs of life twenty times a day!
Wish you'd put this up a week ago. Would have saved me a lot of checking🤣
  • Don’t look at last years Facebook posts, it’s depressing…. This time last year I apparently already had beautiful flowers in my boxes, and my first strawberries…..no blinking hope of that for a few weeks yet this year!

Maybe we'll have a long Indian summer as compensation. I just wish we had a bit of decent rain here.  The clouds just spit on the ground in passing.
    In London. Keen but lazy.

South London seems have had very little rain, while some of north London quite a bit.

Don't grab any weeds or unwanted plants to pull without gloves on.  Spring nettles sting.  A lot!

More importantly, don't let OH - who only thinks he's good at DIY - erect wooden posts using metposts and then string tensioned wires between them.   They end up being pulled over at an angle I don't want to contemplate for the rest of my life so he's having to start again.

In addition, don't let him trail the leccy extension down there when you're watering re-planted pots.  It blows the trips in the fuse box and then he gets cross.
You have it easy Obelixx! I have to share the garden  with OH who is a radio amateur. Big vertical antenna with guy ropes attached to trees and fences. OTOH he does put up with me changing my mind often about positioning stuff  :D:D.

How nice of him to provide all that support for climbing plants. :D
