DON'T DO IT!😩

B3B3 Posts: 16,586
I thought this might be a useful thread for beginner and adventurous gardeners . We'll see.
My first suggestion is the obvious:
Don't plant leylandii
My others are personal prejudices so I won't mention them - yet.
Has anyone else got anything to add?
In London. Keen but lazy.

As a newbie too I'd say my biggest tip is to not rush in. It's too easy to be suckered in by plants! Take the time to prep and plan.

Forsythia should be pruned below ground level.

Poor Hostafan, how to learn the hard way.

I was given the advice to just observe a new garden for the first year, to see what comes up. In our case, Jurassic Park and Triffids! We’ve been fighting to regain control ever since!
