Hi all,

Wondered, is this a weed or a flower? Or both. Leave it or pluck it before it takes over the whole riased bed?

Not familiar with N African weeds Marwaneldallal but if I found that in the UK I would think Scarlet Pimpernel. A weed of arable land but always welcome in my garden, difficult to be sure without the flower though.

Reminds me of the clover relative black medic but the flower I think I can see in the photo is different.

Think it's a vetch of some kind ... either a wild plant or an escaped type  grown for animal fodder perhaps.

Ive been told its Asparagus pea...

Fascinating ...have no idea where its come from its the first time ive seen it in the garden.

A fairy of some sort must have planted it.

Psophocarpus tetragonolobus ...common name asparagus pea...new one for me.
Flowers are quite large.
Not sure that is the right answer.

I grew asparagus pea once and I don't think it looks quite right for that (but it will be easier to tell if you let the seed pods develop)

I grew them once too - poor crop, poor taste and if allowed to get bigger than an inch long, stringy and tough.  Utter waste of space.
