Favourite Lavender?

Which Lavender would you recommend re fragrance and colour please? I am looking to replace some that have become old and leggy. Many thanks.

  • 'Imperial Gem' was one that stood out for me on a visit to the Heacham show fields of Norfolk Lavender years ago, though I've never grown it.

    Extremely floriferous, flowers last ages and ages, great perfume and the bees love it. I just clip it back once at the end of the summer and after several years it’s still a nice sticky mound and not at all leggy. 

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
