Rose Lovers - Cottage Memories experiences?

Hi everyone, I would love to hear your experiences if you've ordered from cottage memories before! I am thinking about ordering from there but after receiving a horrific, diseased order from JParkers, I'm cautious about ordering from anywhere cheap. Have you had good experiences with cottage memories? Or can you recommend any other affordable (less than £10 per rose) sellers? TIA!

I have used https://www.rozenlottum.nl/en_GB/and they are really good. I ordered around 70 roses for new rose garden and all were really good quality roses.

The experiences noted on the dedicated rose thread, have generally been good.
  • I saw them and I am interested in them but due to Brexit, ordering from abroad has become a lot more complicated and as such I plan to wait and see how much more expensive that would be
  • Here's a company: https://www.ashridgetrees.co.uk/roses/all

Not quite under £10, but worth a try.

Another thing worth trying is to get on the mailing lists of some of the more expensive companies, wait until they have their sale of bare-root varieties, and then be prepared to nurse your plant through a couple of seasons.

..well, I'm not going to recommend them for their packaging, as they send out their roses in green plastic bags...

  • i have found them to be good plants i have bought 10 bare root off them this winter i was cautious  at first so ordered one to start with , it came well packaged yes they do use plastic round the roots but the roots are wrapped in damp newspaper to stop them drying out so if you cant plant straight away they will be fine in a cool place , one order i placed on Friday dinner time was delivered the Saturday afternoon , in fact im now going to place another order before they finish doing the bare root at the end of month , this is a company thats been going for a lot of years and they attend several of the big plant shows with their roses including the royal Norfolk show they wouldn't have kept in business if they weren't any good , they do have a face book page with reviews on and pics of the shows they go too , they also supply to trade so you will find their roses potted in lots of local nurseries but they aren't branded as cottage memories , hope this helps you ,

...you sound as though you know an awful lot about them...??   it starts to look rather obvious and there's no need for that.. otherwise, keep up the good work, we already know your roses are very good..

I have just placed an order with them as they have a rose l have been looking for. Their prices seem very reasonable.
