Ive searched on plant ID apps but it remains unidentified. Your help is appreciated.

Quite a thick leaf, evergreen, was told it flowers, white flowers, based in north africa. Thats all the information i have.

That's better😊. Don't know what the plant is though. Might be honeysuckle. Someone will be along to give you a more accurate answer.

Think you may be right. Fellow i purchased it from promised it blooms beautiful white strong smelling flowers ...so it fits the bill.
Lets wait and see.

Could it be a variety of evergreen magnolia?

This is a magnolia grandiflora in our garden. Flowers late summer, and is evergreen.

I agree with @Ergates. Possibly Magnolia grandiflora. @Marwaneldallal are you based in North Africa or was the plant sent to you from there? Leaves look a bit scorched at the very top.

The best specimen I've seen was in Dubrovnik in the arboretum used as the location for "High Garden" in Game of Thrones.

Magnolia grandiflora.....Very easy to check.
Turn the leaf over..it should be a rich tan colour.
