New thread for a new year Just to say, although it's called "Swop" , it's for anyone looking for or getting rid of seeds. You don't have to swop (unless you want to of course !)
Hi, I have extra pink Lunaria seeds and mixed sweet peas, if anyone is interested. I will send by post. This is not a swap, so anyone can have them. If anyone has some Gunnera seeds to give away, I would be really interested or any seeds from indoors plants or showy outdoors plants. Thank you.
Hi I dont know if anyone is in London but got a giant burmese honeysuckle to rehome for free. Indoors at the moment but probably needs putting in the ground if your living in the south.
I have lots of cornflower seeds, love in a mist and gypsophilia (see photo) collected from the garden. Happy to send some on to anyone. I'm in the middle of sorting out my seed envelopes so will see what else I have. I'd be grateful if anyone has thyme or anything else that is good for a cracked patio.
@AnniD... no on sweet pepper, I do have some sweet basil seeds but they are out of date ( ie said sow before end 2018).. I used some in lockdown last year (2020) and they were patchy ( maybe 50% germination, no idea how many are supposed to germinate ordinarily). If no one else can provide I can send them to you if you fancy your chances and pvt msg me your address? I'm guessing maybe 75-100 seeds or so left in packet. I grew sweet peppers from seeds from supermarket pepper seeds --I'm not going to bother with that again because it took basically forever and took a lot of container space for the fruit to get to decent size and ripen, so this year I'm sticking to chillies.
Thanks @Desi_in_London, l will bear your kind offer in mind. I'll let you know one way or the other ASAP. I think that's the trouble with basil, once it passes its sow by date the germination does go downhill.
