Cordyline Palm

Hi I'm looking for some advice , I have one of these palm in my garden. 

In the Summer it flowered. 

What month is the best month to cut the flower off. Is it too late to germinate the seeds if I remove it now? 

I've never done this before and looking for some advice.

    If the flower head is completely finished and has produced seed pods, you can cut it off at the base and hang up somewhere dry to finish off.  It may pay you to loosely tie a paper bag over it to catch any seeds.
    If you get the seeds, ensure they are dry, put in a paper bag/cardboard box and keep them in a cool place indoors until April/May ( depending on your location/climate).
    You may find that they are easier to germinate with some bottom heat.

    We have one and for the many years we have had it growing we haven't tried to propagate from seeds.

    I've got one and a new plant grew from the side at the base. I let it go and after a year dug it up and potted it on. I now have two, isn't nature wonderful  :)
