    Yes, thats right Fairy, that's why I mentioned location. Most of my seeds say germinate at 20-25, those ones are started off in the conservatory, (no, I don't keep it that hot,!!) It's NE facing, but as it's a bungalow, we're detached and not overlooked you get a lot of light, and on the sunniest day, it really warms up in there, at the moment, no heat on and the sun has gone round, it's a comfortable 17c.  I start tomatoes in the kitchen window sill, (also faces the same way) in January.

    I couldn't start toms that early unless I had a heated greenhouse to put them in.  We don't have that light either at that time of year.   :)
    My kitchen is currently 15, and that's with the tumble drier on.   :D
    It's 4 outside. 

    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
