Has anyone grown Boston Ivy on a fence? I have about 2 wooden fence panels width space it could cover and on either side of those fence panels is mature cherry laurels. I love the red autumn colour of the Boston Ivy and I think it's less invasive than some of the others, but would the Boston Ivy damage the fence or suffocate the laurel shrubs? 
I noticed this seems to be the smaller version and might be suitable for my space. https://www.gardenersworld.com/plants/parthenocissus-henryana/

    Not suitable for fences, and certainly not something that small. Boston Ivy becomes huge.  :)
    I personally don't think any of the Parthenocissus suit fences at all. 
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Thanks Fairygirl! I was hoping it might work but perhaps I need to look for something else.

    Those plants look best on walls. I've yet to see any fence which looks 'right' with them on it, and there's quite a few near me. Fences are better for almost any other climber, from clematis to roses, and everything in between. :)
    Honeysuckle is the other climber that doesn't suit - they're better for scrambling over structures or through hedging.  :)

    Wisteria is one I think looks better on a house or structure.
