Tree pepny

Advice please. Is it too late to relocate a tree peony which has never flowered in 5 years? And do they require shallow planting like the herbaceous ones? Thanks

  • Now is a good time.  While there is some debate about planting depth for grafted tree peonies, this is not for reasons which will affect flowering and I planted mine a little deeper so that the graft was below soil and the upper section could form its own roots.  If you can't see an obvious graft, I would re-plant at the same level they are now. :)
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
