Planted my garlic wrong???

I planted my garlic on the 25th of October. It’s my first time growing it and i’ve made the mistake of putting the whole bulb in instead of separating the cloves!!! Am i okay to dig them up and separate them or is it too late and i won’t get any garlic plants at all?

You can dig them up and separate them.  Garlic takes ages in the ground.  They root first and then shoot.
