Banana flag leaf

I have what appears to be a banana flag leaf, but the plant is about half the height of others on the same mat. What gives? Am I about to flower?

I don't know if you're about to flower, but I don't understand your query.

Have you got some photos? That will enable people to offer suitable advice.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
