We had summer, ten a colder spell and then a milder spell again. For some plants that triggered spring behaviour. As it gets colder again they’ll settle back to normal. 😊
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
I find the Berberis darwinii in my own garden flowers at all sorts of odd times and is also currently flowering a bit. I think the spring flowering is more intense but there are a few shrubs in the garden currently that are having a small few out of season flowers. We have had some frost but the daytime temperatures are still fairly warm and there still is the odd bee flying about the place so they have some chance of the flowers getting pollinated even now.
