Plant ID please

Hi all, a group of us came across this spindly plant (about 150cm tall at a guess) with dainty ivory white daisy-type flowers atop it recently. Clearly it’s winding down for winter now. Does anyone know what it is? Sorry the picture isn’t clearer. Many thanks, Johnny

Not sure of the plant - flowers look a bit like echinacea or rudbeckia or even aster but I’m far from an expert.  Just wanted to say what a lovely picture 🌸🍃

It was a tad too willowy for Echinacea or Rudbeckia but thanks nonetheless Wild Violet, you’re very generous about photography! Cheers Ceres, that’s a distinct line of enquiry.

Clearer pics to show the flowers/and accurate colour would help enormously.

My best guess at this stage would be white form of Aster novi-belgii (Michaelmas daisy.)

Absolutely Silver surfer, I only wish I hadn’t dashed off just the one poor pic. Perhaps I’ll get back there soon...

Thanks Bob, that’s a distinct possibility. I’d ruled out Asters initially as this plant is well over but perhaps some Asters finish earlier than others.
