Ordering plants

hello members ,
I am new here . Need your advice on buying rose plants from this Dutch website https://www.rozenlottum.nl/en_GB/c-4954860/david-austin-roses/?fbclid=IwAR3I2h9AjcfSNOtq0YsfdxhAHXu9wHDshBSPeCx6YQJJ-VMJ3Yyg9THvSAM
as the bareroot  prices and tree rose prices are fantastic here . Has anyone had experience ordering from Tuincentrum Lottum ?

I’m in south east London and new to gardening. I usually get rose plants from DA uk website or from local nurseries .
Please advise
Many thanks

    Welcome to the forum  :)
I'm sure there are members who have ordered from them, l think @Victoria Sponge may be one. Hopefully they can help.
  • Hello Brinda, welcome to the forum.  I have indeed ordered from TCL as @AnniD says, but haven't yet received my order as I ordered bareroot roses for despatch in November.

If you drop into the rose thread, many people there have ordered from TCL many times and should be able to give their experience.

I placed my order on recommendation from forum members on this thread who have much more knowledge of these things than I do. I hope that helps!

Yes. I spent several hours last week at a trade plant place learning about supply chains and I would definitely get any orders in and delivered before Jan 1st. I knew about the obvious issues, but there were so many more layers of nightmare on their way than I'd imagined.

Quite. About half the issues were direct Brexit nightmares, unavoidable if Brexit is to happen at all. But the rest were 'incompetence in the face of Brexit' nightmares - things that could have been worked out or avoided if anyone who understood what they were doing had been in charge, and blind optimism / ignorant hubris didn't hold sway. And too late to fix now, even if competence suddenly stepped in. Ugh.
