A friend has kindly given me some of these. Do I start them off in pots now or wait until spring? Thanks

I have just germinated some of these from my own plants. They came up in about a week. I did it as an experiment because I haven't always had overwhelming success with spring-sown commercial seed.

My 'bible' book on propagation suggests sowing Thalictrum during Feb/March.  If you have plenty of seed why not sow some now and put in a sheltered spot outside and sow the rest next year.  They do not require additional heat.

Thanks for the responses. I'll plant half now and half in the spring
