J.K.W.?

I have just found a pot at the back of my shed that I'd forgotten about.  Could somebody confirm that the red stemmed plant isn't JKW, it isn't anywhere else in the garden but I back onto woodland and have no idea what in there.

    Looks a bit like beech leaves, take it out off the pot to see the roots and stem and if the stem is woody, all will be well.

    The root is 13" long while the stem and leaves are only 9"
    It is woody as well.
  • You can relax..it is definitely not JKW...see pics below.
    Nor is it Fagus sylvatica...Beech.
