Clearing out the garden for winter and come across this, any ideas, is it friendly or not.
Also seems to have thorny stem,
We don't remember planting it.

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I am now leaning to Rubus sp...something related to blackberry.
Is it attempting to grow taller.
Blackberry has a very different shape of leaf. Didn't seem to have runners. 1 stem 1leaf.
I said related to Blackberry.
Rubus has many different sp...most I am not familiar with.
It seems to have long prickly stems.

Leaves where more like normal blackberries.
May be hoik it out into a pot and see what happens.
