Should I nurture this or dig it up?

Please can someone tell me if this is of the Nightshade family, it's appeared in one of my pots. Thanks Valerie

  • Yes. Black nightshade ...solanum nigrum

  • Up to you, but bees like the flowers, so I leave the odd one or two which appear in my garden (they are annual.)
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
  • Thanks both. If bees like it then I will leave it alone, not that I've noticed any on it yet.
  • I have one or two of those growing in my garden. They are easy to remove if no longer needed, not invasive or anything like that. I keep them for the bees 🐝 and because I find them pretty. They don’t require any care, come back every year and disappear in the autumn.
