Have I killed my buddleia

Hard pruned it today due to it seriously blocking the sun. Really hope I’ve not killed it with rashness.

Well its different!    You usually cut these down to about a foot from the ground in March.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

  • Buddleias are bomb-proof. You will get new foliage in a few weeks.
  • If you have managed to kill it, I'm sure there are many people out there who would be interested to learn how you achieved it ;)
Me being one of them ✋😊

  • Ahaha thanks everyone! It was blocking light from our whole garden and had to go!

I chopped both of mine down to a stump last year as they had grown way too big and they were up and flowering again this summer, I'm glad as the bees and butterflies love it.
