Recommend a Shrub please...?

Hello

There's a gap in the miiddle of my border, and so I wondered if someone could recommend a shrub to fill it.

I have neutral soil, the position is very sunny, but may get some cold winds in winter.

Ideally I'd like an average to fast growing plant, to 3-4ft in height. With dense foliage and a longish flowering season, flowers any colour except white. It can shed its leaves  in winter or keep them.

Is anyone up to my challenge :-)

Thanks
Robin

    Weigela.
A longish flowering season can mean anything, as can 'average to fast growing'. Potentillas probably flower longer than anything, and grow virtually anywhere in any soil.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

One of the dwarf buddlejas or a lavatera such as Barnsley Baby

  • Thanks, that's given me some ideas 😊
