I would like to know the name of this plant please.  It looks it's best when the sun is shining as all the flowers open up. It is now coming to it's end but can still look good when the flowers open.It has spread quite a lot since I first planted it out. I would like to get another one when I know what I'm looking for. Thank you.

I think it might be Delosperma Cooperi.

Many thanks @Borderline that was quick. :)  It certainly looks like it and describes it well on google. Goodness knows what it was called when I bought it as it wasn't that! To be honest I don't remember buying it as it has been there some time. There doesn't appear to be a more common name it goes by.

I think it used to be Mesembryanthemum. One of its common names is ice plant, but there are other things also called ice plant (Sedum spectabile for one - which I think has also had a change of latin name).
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained

Many thanks for your input @JennyJ. That name seems somewhat familiar so I will look through my tin of labels and order forms etc. and see if I can find it. Probably a mammoth task!  :)
