Purslane

How invasive is purslaine? Some has popped up under a canary palm in a pot, it looks nice and gives a bit of under green with pretty yellow flowers. I'd like to keep it for the season, but if it goes to seed am I going to have an invasion? Should I rip it out quick? Thanks!

Didn't know what it was, thank goodness for Google. Turns out its edible!
  • Yes is edible, that's why I knew what it was - it occasionally crops up on MasterChef, usually as part of a dish with essence of moondust on a bed of septuple cooked potatoes harvested by trained iguanas...  :D

Pretty little plant, but I don't want it to invade. No idea where it came from either, it's not exactly a woodland plant.

    Anyone have any thoughts?
