What is this plant?

Hello
I wondered if anyone can help me identify the plant with the 5 point leaves on it? Looks like it is growing along low. Is this a weed or a plant that has grown here. It has like a purple stem.

    It's ivy  :)

    Just be careful as to where it's going, as they can really take over if you aren't particularly wanting them  :)
