Autumnal songster getting some early practice in...?

Since the August Bank Holiday weeked I've greeted been each early morning by my resident Robin in full voice - atop a tall Eucalyptus in my South Pembrokeshire garden. I'm not claiming a 'first', but it's so distinctive and welcoming that I'm certain the wee bird was sensing a 'change in the air' before September, the first 'official' autumn month commenced.

Yes, I noticed the change to the autumn song the other day too. Much more melancholy than the territorial song of summer.
Apophthegm -  a big word for a small thought.
