    I tried one of these and it took ages to flower, but when it did, it really did! Yours looks very healthy, so I wouldn't despair.
  • I grow this every year and have tried all different ways to get it to flower earlier with no success but when it does it flowers it’s socks off until frost.
    mine is just budding up now so I enjoy it as a late bloomer.

    I've only grown the white one, but it was quite late flowering. I assumed it was because it would be later here anyway.
    I wasn't keen on it, and it was tricky to germinate, so I haven't bothered again.

    I just looked and it was mid August it flowered. Perhaps it was general conditions at that time? They were quite far on when I planted them out too, so maybe that helped. I remember that because it was getting tricky with them size wise , and I couldn't have put them out any earlier because of temps/weather.

  • Mine are late this year too, strange August weather has checked flowering but not growth  I have a purple one about 40ft high, on an old tree. It's only just starting to show the buds and they are quite hard to spot, look for upward facing things that look like countersink drill bits! I'd give it a few weeks and with any luck they will burst into flower.

    I like the buds more than the flowers @strelitzia32, if I'm honest  ;)

  • @Fairygirl what! That's a shocking attitude towards them!  Disappointed! ;)

    Oh well, nevertheless, I just went and took a photo so here's some for you. Need a ladder for the second one!

  • Mine started flowering last week

    First time growing it and it's been fun.

    That's a nicer colour than the usual blue one @amancalledgeorge.
    I don't like blue, so I would only have grown the white one, although it's greeny white, which I also like.
    @strelitzia32 - I calls it as I sees it  ;)

    Trouble is that the leaves in your pic are nothing like leaves of Cobaea scandens, the cup-and-saucer vine.
    See other peoples pics in thread.
    Suspect seeds were misnamed.
