My weiglia has started flowering again, is this usual?

Not unusual. Many shrubs/plants can have a small, second flush of flowers depending on climate and conditions, as well as variety.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

This year has put up many surprises.
Azara, clematis armandii, christmas hellebore....and on the list goes all in flower again now.
We also have cyclamen in flower now which usually don't until September.
Weird year.

My weigela Florida is flowering for the second time. Nowhere near the number of flowers that it produced earlier.

Our two bushes , one variegated are both blooming again and that's after a good prune after the early flush, not so many flowers but still pretty to see during this downpour here in Wales.
