Lavender

I have just planted out my Lavender Hidcote plants grown from plug plants received in April and kept in a greenhouse.  Some have a few flowers on them. Should I cut them down like more established plants before the winter or leave them on. Any advice gratefully received.

It's totally up to you. Many of the mature sub-shrub Lavenders are left over winter, usually to protect the base. But if your growth is soft and floppy, it may not have time to toughen up for the winter months, so in that type of situation, you can prune them back after they have flowered.
