Lupins

Hi, this year is the first time I have ever grown Lupins. After a real good show of flowers they rapidly turned to seed, which I didn't do anything about (not being familiar with this particular plant). They have now been absolutely decimated by slugs etc. My question is, is it okay to cut them right back at ground level to get a decent crop next year?

    Yes  :)
I'd make sure there's a little bit left of the plant, if possible, though.

As @Fairygirl says, but it won’t guarantee you a good show next year, as soon as they pop their new leaves up in the spring, the slugs will eat them to the ground again, so you need to take precautions early spring.
If you have some of the seeds turning brown and rattling in their pods you can sow some for extra plants next year.

They may well have already sown themselves too @Lyn :)
