New Bush / Shrub for reclaimed garden spot.
I have got rid of some old rubbish plants from an area and now have a 3 foot x 3 foot area to fill near a tall hedge..
Ideally I would like it to be 3 or 4 foot all , colourful and wild life attracting.
It will have a spread available of @ 2 foot each way.
The area will have sun from about 10.00am till 4.00 pm and it will be South facing.
The soil has had a bramble , a couple of old ferns and some comphrey in it for about 10 years. I have comphrey else where in the garden.
I have looked at ideas on the interweb but would appreciate some help in cutting down the choices !!

Suggest you move Pyracantha while it is small
They are at least 4 foot apart as I cleared an extra bit of soil that I did not tell you about.
On the label for the Viburnum it says " 4 foot x 4 foot in 10 years " and on the Pyracantha " spread of 2.5 metres ".
The Viburnum will be OK but I will have to keep a tight reign on the Pyracantha.
On these posts its sometimes tricky to know how much info to add.
Thanks very much for your advice SS.
Much appreciated.
That sounds much better.
Which Viburnum is it...some are tall ...other spread...other can grow huge.?
