Successional planting n pots

I have a large  ceramic pot in a prominent position and want a succession of plants from spring through to winter.  Intend planting in plastic pots to go into the empty ceramic pot.  Daffodils for spring, then tulips, then Japanese Anemones, hopefully until autumn, then for the winter a box bush surrounded by winter pansies.  Any suggestions?

    What size is the pot?
Some of the grasses are good in that situation - Hakonechloa for example, is particularly good.
Hostas are also good, and Heucheras, and those can be underplanted with the daffs and also crocus etc.

I'm assuming the pot is in a shadier spot, although tulips generally need a sunny site.
There are plenty of annuals which would also work depending on the amount of sun  :)

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
