Buxus positioning

Hi everyone,

I have decided to plant a row of baby buxus sempervirens boxwood in front of the Griselinia hedging. I think I may have planted the buxus too far back.

Are the buxus positions ok in the attached photo? Should they be closer to the edging or is the position too close to the hedging?

Hope someone experienced can advise.

Regards,

B.

  • Are you going to clip back the Griselinia into a tidy hedge or let it do it's own thing?

It is a shrub that responds well to cutting (and even hacking - been there, done that got the t-shirt).

I think further forward would give the Buxus more of a fighting chance.

    Thanks Mrs-R3,

Yes will be trimming the Griselinia back a bit. That to be done in Sept i as far as I know. Think I might move the buxus a little forward.

    Thanks again
