Any recommendations for a small glass greenhouse please?

Looking to buy a small (2" x4" or 2"x6") glass greenhouse to use for sheltering my young tender plants during their first few winters. Something cheap and as decent as price allows. Any recommendations please?

  • I have a rhino greenhouse which I’m very pleased with but don’t know if they do very small ones. The other make we looked at was Halls. Rhino look dearer but have more included in the basic price so they end up very similar.

I picked up a second hand Elite Compact 4x6 from Gumtree last year. The quality is decent enough but small greenhouses tend to have low headroom which is something to consider if you need a lot of shelving. The smallest they do is a 4x4 though I think.

greenlove Is 'buy' the operative word?  Clear corrugated plastic is very durable and will enable you to make what you want, if you're prepared to do that.

I'm very pleased with my Access leanto greenhouse but not sure it could be classed as cheap - I think it was either £250 or £350, can't remember which. It's 4ft wide and tall so fits under my kitchen window. Has sliding roof glass panels and 4 sliding doors, all replaceable.
I also have a much cheaper £60 wood and corrugated plastic growhouse and an aluminium/plastic cold frame for the overflow!
