Identify this plant

Does anyone know what this plant is? It randomly showed up and is growing in my path. It only flowers at night.

    It looks like an evening primrose, Oenothera biennis.
    Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

    I think it may be Oenothera versicolor, possibly 'Lemon Sunset', which does fade to red like that. :)
