It could be Loropetalum Chinense, Chinese Fringe Flower. Check online to see if it’s the same flowers.

No need for ericaceous compost and they're absolutely happy in semi shade or full sun. Pretty accommodating plants.

It could be quite thirsty ... that size pot won't hold much moisture
