What a difference a few weeks makes - been treating this rose for black rust etc. 

anyway - now it's blooming a few questions

1. what rose is this.

2. I assume it's a shrub or bush rose.

3. It was in the garden when I moved in and has been neglected neighbors say it's at least 20 years old - maybe 30 years as they remember the person who planted it - so as well as id tips on how to rejuvenate it for next year so we have lots of roses on it.

When is the best time to prune this type of rose

Unless I’m imagining things, it looks like you may have 3 roses in that spot. I’m afraid I’m unable to ID them, but suspect they are Hybrid Tea roses. 

All should be pruned down to around a foot next year in early spring to encourage them to throw up new branches.
