Obelisks!

I'm thinking about obelisks as a quick way to get some height into my garden. Does anyone here have any nice ones? I'd be very interested in seeing some pictures of people's garden erections!

I've had some made locally. This one is 6ft tall. He made the metal bit and I added the spiralled wire. He made me some 8ft too, but they're covered in perennial peas so you can't see them now

Mine is made from 6mm rebar by a local craftsman. It is about 30 cm into the ground and stands about 160cm high. I think it cost £40 and I have had it for 5 years. Its very sturdy, I stand on the bottom rung to push firmly into the ground and it has withstood that.

Choked on my coffee when I quickly read this without getting the context.

I really like Gap Garden Products traditional er, erections, sturdy and good value. This is an 8ft one, but 1.5ft is pushed into the ground as they don’t come with ground spikes, so bear that in mind, height-wise:

    oh and the top bit:

Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.
