HELLO - CAN YOU GROWN A KENTIA PALM OUTSIDE IN A SOUTH WEST FACING GARDEN?. WE DID KEEP INSIDE BUT NOTICED THERE WERE SMALL BLACK FLIES ALL AROUND IT AND IN THE ROOM. HAVE LOOKED THE POSSIBLE CAUSE AND READ 'ROOT ROT'. THOUGHT I WOULD COMPLETELY REPOT IT WITH CLEAN NEW COMPOST SO AS TO BRING IT BACK INSIDE IF GROWING OUTSIDE IS NOT A GOOD IDEA !!!

    No they are not frost hardy but would be ok outside during the summer unless the night turns cold.
