What is eating my lovely flowers?

I have some nice flowers in the front patch of the garden: randomly placed bulbs I’d say but they cheer me up when I go out. I’m just wondering what is eating this flower and how do I stop it!

Normally l would say slugs and/or snails,  but it could be gladioli thrips. Hopefully someone can confirm.
