Tree ID please

Hi folks,

Anybody know what this is? It's sprung up in a spot I had other plans for so I'm debating whether to remove it. Been growing like an overfed teenager so I'd like to know how big it is likely to get as it could potentially start blocking sunlight to other areas.

Rowan ... aka Mountain ash ... a lovely small tree and great for wildlife. Recommended for smaller gardens. Doesn’t get big.

To have golden berries it looks like a special one..eg Sorbus Joseph Rock...or similar.

Should go a super colour in the autumn.

Thanks folks. Tempted to keep it now. How big is "doesn't get big" as it's a couple of metres already?

A couple of metres is shrub sized.  Sorbus is a small tree that can range from 4or 5 metres to twice that depending on the variety and some have a tall, narrow canopy whilst others are more spread.  They are all great for wildlife, especially pollinators and birds.

Thanks @Obelixx. It's sprung up so quickly that I'm a little worried that it will rapidly become too big for my liking. It can stay for now though. Looking forward to the autumn leaf colour!
