the hummers have had a good year so far i wish i knew more about them.  I think we have about three types at our feeder.  They drain the feeder in about four days.

Great idea jamesholt!  Always less stressful to work with the environment than trying to fight it  :)  If only I could find a useful occupation for the squirrels.......

The squirells like to plant oak trees in our flower beds.  I bet we had 30 small trees growing where we didnt want them.  Maybe the trees could be repotted and grown?

Sadly my squirrel isn't that generous, he takes (bulbs mostly and some herbs) but rarely gives  :(

It's what we all do as winter starts to bite isn't it?    Lovely to see beavers being allowed to do what beavers do in the UK again.  I hope yours aren't classed as a nuisance @jamesholt as they are really good at flood management.

  • Why was it controversial to reintroduce the beavers into the uk.  I can understand being concerned about the wolves but not as much about the beavers. They were almost hunted to extinction here but are now very common.  Our biggest problem in texas are the wild hogs.  They are not native and are killing all the other wildlife.   They eat everything and multiply
