Oh God no - proper nurseries are a world away from T&M.
They're alright for seeds or bulbs, but not plants/shrubs etc.

I'm a non driver,it's the best that I can do at the moment

@warwickbear1973+8   You'll get lots of good recommendations from people here, but unless you want to pay lots of delivery charges, and have them all delivered at totally different times, then it may make more sense for you to find one nursery that has a good selection of what you need, and can get it to you soonish.

I was recently looking online for Geraniums, and could only find one nursery that had everything in stock, and which promised to deliver in 2-3 weeks (Claire Austin: couldn't fault them).  Many nurseries that I looked at were not delivering anything for about 3+ months, and many had very little stock. I think that's quite common at the moment.

Thanks, that sounds sensible,I shall have a look tonight and If I have no luck I shall have to make do with Homebase or one of the supermarkets.I must admit I won't be sitting in an Uber too many more times, with the risks that presents.I did wear a mask though

Another suggestion: look up your local garden centre, and give them a ring or email them. They may well deliver for you. I know my local GC is doing deliveries for those who are carers or who cannot leave the house because they are shielding.

I think we mentioned Hebes on another thread?

Good luck! I hope they are helpful. You might also want to have a look at Euonymus - they are also evergreen foliage shrubs that would provide a backdrop to the colourful bedding you bought today, and don't get too big.

I have just looked that up and I like them,I was going to buy one earlier today,it was labelled as a Spindle plant,I was worried that it would grow too big so didn't buy it,Will have to see how big it grows.I suppose Euonymous are a family of plants though so another one may be better for size

What sort of area do you live in? I am on my local village Facebook page and people often have plants available. Try Nextdoor as well; we have a lady in the village who has a table outside with plants that she brings on and sells for local charities.

I got a few more plants today,I have no idea if they will grow to big but I can worry about that later :) I bought a Hydrangea Bela,Euonymous Pierrolino, and another Euonymous but looking on the receipt it's called a spindle tree so I'm now worried that's going to grow huge so might take that back.I mentioned that one yesterday but had only heard it referred to as a plant, but the word "tree" has made me worry
I also got a few geraniums from Aldi. This bed is the first one that I will have planted that has a dual aspect as the beds that I have planted in the past have been against a wall but this one at the front of the house is placed between my lawn and drive,so placement of plants will have to be given a little more thought,if that makes any sense
