Possible Cherry Tree ID

We moved house last year and inherited this tree. It’s about 1.5 metres tall and in April/ May it is covered in small white/ pink flowers before the leaves arrive. However it has hardly any fruit - just a handful of little black berries over the whole tree which was the same last summer. Is this a wild cherry? Thanks

If you cut the cherry open, does it have a typical cherry stone inside? If it does , it is a cherry. If not, could we see a photo of the cross section?

Thanks for the suggestion...I’ve just cut one open and really dark purple juice burst out and the berry just kind of fell apart, it looks like blackcurrant. The berries are really small, less than 10mm wide. There is a little seed/ stone in the middle. I can take a photo but it’ll just look like dark purple dots!
